~Confessions~

I am new at this! I never thought I would start a blog, but here I am... I find myself at a place in life that I haven't been before. I am a mother of a two and a half year old and almost four month old. (My almost four month old only naps if he is being held...)

I am experiencing what I think is the "baby blues." I did not have them after the birth of my daughter, but I am having them now. Which I think is definitely more common to have after a second birth then the first.

For at least the first month after my son was born I thought I had it all together! Now, not so much. I think of myself as a type "A" personality. Don't get me wrong, most of the time that is a great personality type to be, but when you are a mother of two small children it is a death sentence...

There is NO possible way to keep up with everything! Maybe for some people but not me. You see- I don't have the typical house like most of America. I live on a "mini farm." We have: 1 horse, 3 cows, 12 chickens, and 4 pigs. Now lets not forget what else MOST of America has in there homes: 1 dog and 2 cats. Total, if you were trying to count= 23! No wonder we are broke!

Let me give you a little history- My husband and I bought seven acres in Maltby, but it's not just seven acres. You see, it was my great-grandparents place. It used to be 15 acres. (more about that later) We have an old house that needs some up-dating but of course we do not have the funds to do so. (We would much rather build a new house on our property and move my parents out here to our existing house- again more on that later.)

After the birth of our daughter we built a shop. Any do-it-yourself er can tell you it can take a lot longer to complete a task like that because although you had the best of intentions of completing it in a timely fashion LIFE happens... and we are not talking about a 10'x10' or 20'x20' shop, we are talking about a 40'x60' shop with 18' eves! A shop that would make any man drool. Maybe not now, but when it's completed. Ohhh ya!

Back to what I was getting at. I do not have your typical home life... I am hoping I can self medicate by blogging instead of drinking about my crazy life. Stay tuned for an update!

P.S. My neighbors dog is really pissing me of by barking! It sounds big! I am not sure what it is though, because I cannot see it!
